What's going on when I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with a former Thatcher minister? Has Westminster really drifted so far right that he now appears sensible?

Of course he's right about the UK. But Scotland in the EU after independence would be welcomed and wanted.

And now I want to know what happened to all the CCTV??? From those who knew him, they say Epstein had cams in virtually every room.

You don't escape a +60 count federal indictment in lieu of a single state charge as a "first offender" without having the goods on some very powerful people.

My mother put it more politely and less combatively than this, but as she rightly observed, it is a really striking bit of 'the UK housing shortage' that essentially I live in *the same flat* that I was born in. She was an arts administrator raising a child alone!

I agree it feels like Dems gave up, like they caved to PAC money. My advice, be mad, get behind candidates that will fight for your interests, but after the dust settles, don’t abandon the Dems. We need to get rid of these criminals and it will take a coalition with a wide range of beliefs.

Being humorous, the key skill for being a PM...
The bar for British politicians is set so low now that hacks just presume "communication skills" & "humour" will be absent as standard.

Finding someone that can put a sentence together & crack a joke? They are messing themselves with excitement, like Ustinov has been reincarnated in London Essex.

This would not have happened under a climate change denying PP/Vox government. If they win the next election further progress will be stalled. Spain can be a clean energy super power, with all the huge opportunities that presents, but not if the right takes control.
Spain’s rapid deployment of wind and solar energy has slashed the influence of expensive gas and coal plants on electricity prices by 75% since 2019..... As a result, the country is now one of the cheapest electricity markets in Europe.

In numbers: Renewables have turned Spain into one of Europe's cheapest electricity markets
Wind and solar met almost half of Spain’s electricity demand in the first half of 2025 (46%), up from 27% in the same period in 2019.
