There is no excuse for what this man did. But the story to be told here is not one that has anything to do with Afghans, let alone non-white immigration to the U.S. generally. I grew up in Mpls and relish trays were pretty Fostoria separated dishes that held pickles (sweet and dill),green and black olives, sometimes pickled beets at holiday meals. Nicer restaurants also offered relish trays while waiting for meals especially in the 50s and 60s.
