Sadly many are easily duped by a correlation.

A coal hearth for every home.

Currently we are wasting 'Green' energy as the the fossil fuel generators can't ramp down far enough.

This policy *should* reduce fossil fuel generation outside of solar hours.

It will be a while before storage catches up with curtailment.

Not a really sunny or windy day in SA today but lots of curtailment.

This policy doesn't really suit the 4.2 million households with solar. I am not seeing a problem unless we all buy EVs next year.

This statement is so confusing to me.

Just one beer? And a *slow* eBike ride?

Yes, during a major reno insulating walls makes sense.

Solar and now battery prices falling make double glazing a marginal call in most Australian regions but great for noise suppression.

Floor insulation (if accessible) in colder climates can be worthwhile.

Yes. They all are covered under one DMO process.

Victoria has its own and I'm not sure about WA and Tas.

Don't care if the attribution is correct but the message is sound.
November 4, 2025 at 12:04 AM
This policy may do that by making daytime energy more valuable.

Solar success is part of the reason for negative daytime prices.

Excellent policy.

This opens up the feasibility for those without solar to buy a battery and charge from the grid.

Renters could look at 'Camping Batteries' which are portable and can move with them.

We use this one for boiling the kettle and cooking.

I hope politicians stop promising lower bills and keep repeating the fact that our grid needs replacing/updating and emphasising that the cheapest way of doing that is with Renewables, storage, energy efficiency and some peaking fossil gas.

Blaming net zero for higher bills is a lie. #auspol

Nah there is a really easy fix. Stop Capital Growth.

Supply that has been sitting idle or being used for short term rentals will appear like magic.

And build PUBLIC housing.

Yep, if you are in the position to do so, provide as much of your own energy as possible.

Even at 90% wind and solar and storage there will still be gouging for poles and wires and Retailers.
