So great to have an MP speak at our uni! Ellie was fantastic and we had the best turnout for any green party society event ever in UoB history!! 💚
So lovely to return to the University of Birmingham, where I studied and taught for years, to chat with such a great bunch of students. Fantastic questions and brilliant energy in the room!

Housing is one of the biggest inequality facing people in the UK, with most renters spending over 30% of income rent. Let's fix that together.

Would love to see someone from the north jump into the @greenparty.org.uk deputy leader race

With Huddersfield, Sheffield and Liverpool all key spots for #GreenParty growth - let's give them a voice

I was hoping @elliechowns.bsky.social would throw her name into the deputy race as I love how she represents rural voters and speaks loudly against global issues 💚

But teaming up with @adrianramsay.bsky.social for leadership is a mistake IMO. The greens need bolder leadership and he isnt it sadly 💔

Very much the case the @greenparty.org.uk is the home of those angry at the lack of action on stopping the genocide in Gaza, climate crisis and protecting human rights

I wouldnt call them anxious though, I'd call them caring, passionate and ofc anti-fascist!

When in @greenparty.org.uk we talk about Gaza or taxing the super rich, there's often one person who asks "why is this a Green issue?"

The same forces who are protecting wealth and power (& the military complex) are the same people that are destroying our climate & nature.

4 @greenparty.org.uk constituencies: 2 urban climate action hubs and 2 rural nature positive districts. 💚

We have the space for 3 figureheads in our #GreenParty leadership, one should be a voice for us country greens. 🌳

‼️The government now needs to act on the side of science, lived experiences and human rights.

The #GreenParty leadership needs to evolve

We played nice to be seen as a serious party that can win, and we did. But it's time to be bold and address the real issues of class in the UK. Doesnt automatically mean we need a change in leaders but a change in narrative

"As far as Im concerned, going for growth is without a doubt priority number one"

Not a quote from our alleged left wing Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves but Christopher Luxon, the Conservative national PM of NZ. Surprised? I'm not

Today MPs debate Proportional Representation. A proper national conversation about alternatives to our broken system is long overdue.

We're calling for a National Commission for Electoral Reform to design a voting system that's fit for the 21st century.

A 3rd runway "will mean that instead of circling London, flights can land" Says Rachel Reeves.

So what are they gonna do when the new third #heathrow runway reaches capacity and have planes circling London again? Build another runway? Draw the line. You can't have infinite growth on a finite planet

A 'Heart of Wessex' Mayor? Might as well start calling them the Arse of Wessex.

No one person can represent the likes of Bournemouth, Bridport, Exmoor, Salisbury and possibly Swindon because there's nothing remotely close about them at all.

This is dangerous and puts trans youth in an incredibly precarious position.

Streeting is ignoring trans voices, ignoring the risk the ban poses and ignoring the desperate need for gender affirming care.

The ban must be challenged and immediately reversed.
