not only should all the “free speech on college campus” people be loudly condemning this, the institutions themselves should refuse to comply and state clearly that it is antithetical to what a university is. (they’ll have to be pushed by faculty, students, & workers to do this)

like, okay, the first paragraph of this—fine! reorient public universities back towards some kind of moral value/public good. but the first sentence of the next graf ("whole of our knowledge" vs "racial ethnic gendered parts") makes clear he's responding to a version of public ed that doesn't exist
