CHICAGO — Celebrate Pride with Pride Fest Chicago in Northalsted, special Pride shows with The Neo-Futurist Theater, a 63rd Street Beach celebration and more.
There’s also a slew of festivals, including the Magnificent Mile Art Festival along Michigan Avenue, Vegandale in Grant Park, the House of Coffee Music Festival and a summer celebration with the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
Plus, Juneteenth festivities are on deck all weekend, from a BBQ and block party at the DuSable Black History Museum to a Boxing Out Negativity community celebration.

### Pride With The Neo-Futurists: 30 Queer Plays In 60 Straight Minutes
10:30 p.m. Friday, 7 and 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 7 p.m. Sunday (with ASL interpretation)
The Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N. Ashland Ave.
The Neo-Futurists’ annual Pride tradition returns with 30 “glow’d-up, sweat-soaked, lipstick-smeared, gender euphoric, gay-panic-inducing” plays performed in an hour’s time. On Sunday, all proceeds will go to Pushing Envelopes Chicago, a volunteer-run organization that supports LGBTQ+ and incarcerated individuals through penpal relationships, legal aid and re-entry support.

### The Magnificent Mile Art Festival

This art fest showcases the work of 60 juried artists from around the country, including jewelry, fashion, glass, painting and photography.

Grant Park-Butler Field, South Lake Shore Drive and East Monroe Street
North America’s largest vegan festival is making its way to Chicago this weekend with more than 100 food, dessert and drink vendors. They’ll be serving up global eats, from Hawaiian to Indian to Chinese to Southern comfort. There will also be live entertainment and interactive art.

### Pride Fest

Halsted Street from Addison to Grace streets
The annual celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture and community is back with live music across three stages, Chicago drag performances, dance exhibitions, a Youth Pride space for teens and over 150 food and merch vendors.

This 13th annual Juneteenth celebration offers free admission to the museum, children’s activities, vendors, food trucks and libations.

There will be a free community breakfast, special artist performances and floats at the first North Lawndale Juneteenth Freedom Day Parade.

### Boxing Out Negativity Juneteenth Celebration

Celebrate freedom, community and culture at Boxing Out Negativity’s Juneteenth street carnival in North Lawndale. There will be food, family-friendly games, food from local vendors, live music and DJs and raffles.

### Black Culture Week Job Fair

Run, walk or stroll a 5K while weaving through various Chicago parks for the fourth annual 312 RiverRun. The course takes participants through Clark, California and Horner Parks for a scenic, family-friendly race day, followed by an afterparty at Burning Bush Brewery, 4014 N. Rockwell St.
Registration is $44.52-$55.20, or $44.52 for youth. Proceeds benefit the Clark Park and Horner Park Advisory Councils. Participants will receive a 312 RiverRun bandana and snacks and water. There will also be free gear check for the first 500 registrants. Learn more and sign up here.

The multi-city House of Coffee Music Festival is stopping by Chicago for an “ultimate daytime party” that blends house music and coffee culture. Sip on unlimited drip coffee, enjoy espresso martinis and coffee cocktails, groove to local and international DJs and enjoy pastries from local bakeries.

### Color On iPad Workshop With Queer Fam Pride Jam

This Pride-themed workshop hosted by the organizers of Queer Fam Pride Jam offers kids and families to color and draw on pages from a queer parent coloring book. Led by visual artist AndyB, this event is recommended for ages four and older.

This free early childhood music program introduces toddlers and preschoolers to sound and play through the Earth, Wind and Fire songbook. ### Back Porch Music Series

Jefferson (Thomas) Memorial Park, 4822 N. Long Ave.
This monthly summer concert series features artists who will perform from the porch of the Esdohr House. This weekend, singer-songwriter, Nashville recording artist and former high school principal Buzz Hunter.
This is a free event and happens shortly after the Jefferson Park Sunday Market, “so make a day of it,” organizers say. The market is 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. behind the field house. Guests are also invited to bring lawn chairs and snacks for the show. Learn more here.
