Imagine if you got the Zweihander by buying it from Domhnall or on a corpse in Sen’s Fortress. It wouldn’t be half as memorable

It feels so cool to steal it from the skeletons

Going down into New Londo and getting torn apart by ghosts is thrilling. It’s *especially* thrilling if you manage to nab the firekeeper soul before turning tail. Your hard earned reward from the pit of hopelessness

The Zweihander is ICONIC for this exact reason!!

We had one. It depended on what you were chopping. Some stuff it obliterated perfectly. Some stuff you would keep going to town and then opening it up to find it not particularly chopped

Also it hurt my puny weak hands

I wonder if there’s a timeline where these penny stock digital markets don’t happen or if it’s just an inevitable result of online gaming becoming a common pastime among populations vulnerable to gambling addiction

Obviously this warm memory is an immensely personal bias. And I do absolutely despise the system on paper, and how it exploits people with questionable value judgment

But I can’t lie that I’ve really squeezed a lot of value out of the Steam marketplace, it made buying games easier for me

I was 15 when Undertale came out. I adored that game, so I bought it for my friends. I would buy them the game on the condition they gave me their cards, which I’d craft into backgrounds and crap and then flip for money to finance more gift copies of Undertale.

I ended up buying 8 copies
