As for this one, we wanted to create something solid for our supporters, beyond swag or merchandise. Hoodies exist in black and white in slightly oversized S-XL sizes. Every detail reflects our existential passion, commitment, and the goal to save as many lives in Ukraine as possible.

Here’s what I’d change in the next garment. I am not a fan on how most hoodies fit women so I’d make the fit elongated, with different elastic band in terms of feel + width, and move shoulders. Basically do a version of my fave (which is also Ukrainian) but even with more emphasis on length and fit

Then we had a photographer Chernov in Kyiv who done these amazing product shots and videos, + used Shopify to build the digital part of the hoodie (thanks @knyar.net for help there). My first experience with Shopify and I love that it (almost) just worked and solved a lot of headache for our team.

We wanted the garment to be as Ukrainian as possible. For this, we teamed up with an old friend Maslov. This is him delivering one of neonatal ambulances in May. He has been making apparel and gear for own active life brand SHWK for the last decade. Like us, he switched to volunteering in Feb 2022.

I was thinking couple of thing: asymmetry similar to richard quinn in the approach, not taking ourselves very seriously, having zeilen logo as a part of pattern. One of these did not make it to the production but Photoshop’s pattern editor is a godsend to test all out.
