And yet, the ZR1X exists and that’s what excites me the most.
I really feel like the standard ZR1 will be the forgotten child of the C8 generation.

It hit 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, ran the quarter-mile in 10 seconds flat at 144.1 mph, pulled 1.38 g in cornering, and completed the entire U-Drag in 28.9 seconds.

As the owner of a manual Corvette, I agree. I think the Corvette has moved beyond a manual gearbox. From inception, it was meant to be an affordable, mass-produced, US take on a Euro sports car. They don't have stick either now.
I'd rather see the base C9 with an ERay powertrain.

I've never driven one of these, but I am pretty confident that they don't need a manual gearbox.

The O gauge model train world needs more vehicles from the 70s-00s.
I understand winga dinga old men still own the market share, but for how much longer?
Enough with the 1950s/60s models, please.

Tremec says its new manual 6-speed transaxle is similar in many ways to the C8's DCT.

Took it to the dealer this time to (hopefully) fix it for good.
Oh boy dealership service prices are just what you'd expect.

Gathering info from that UPS plane crash in Louisville. Horrific.
Looks like something catastrophic happened to separate the left engine from the wing at V1.
Lots of fire from the wing as the aircraft rotated.
Very similar in events to AA191. Although the ac types are quite different.

Not offering a WRX STI killed the current gen’s desirability.
The BRZ has always been kind of an oddball in Subaru’s lineup.
Moreover, the least desirable part of the GR86 is the Subaru engine.
Also, disposable income ain’t what it used to be.

I may have missed the closing day of the TM Books & Video store, but I’m still going there tomorrow.
They had an auction and I picked up a few model train related goodies - including some screen stuff from one of their Christmas productions.
5 y/o me would be pretty stoked.

Of all the dead brands that were sold in the US, is there one that's missed more than Pontiac?
It's still culturally relevant in a way that Mercury, Oldsmobile Plymouth, Duesenberg, etc. aren't. I think the two closest are Saab and Saturn.
And GM brings back effing HUMMER.

Low sales wasn’t the final nail in Pontiac’s coffin. It was Buick’s market value in China. Pontiac sold better here when GM went bankrupt.
Also, Holdens suck as American cars.
Apologies to my Aussie friends.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Maybe it’s even clearer than that, especially with cars. The auto industry took forever and a day to accept and embrace the crossover concept that dominates the market today...
