I think the reason Tron lacks staying power as a franchise is that the first film really only works as an 80s film. So when you're trying to recapture lightning in a bottle without thinking about how a new film would work years later, it winds up stale.

Terrible movie. Looked cheap, terrible dialogue, unbelievable action scenes and a god awful plot.
The acting was average but what could you do with that mess.

As much as I’m disappointed in the ALP in general and Anthony Albanese in particular I can’t help thinking that if we’d elected Dutton we’d be careering down the same path as the USA.
I mean we are heading that way anyway with Labor but with smaller steps and a more circuitous route.
