Haha! So true.

For as long as I can remember, rich techies have been promising that teachers will be replaced by AI.

They were saying this in the 1990s, even though they'd only just got basic neural nets to function.

The last time rights to live in a country were removed retrospectively was when Idi Amin expelled the Ugandan Asians.

Until this is removed, the Tories are a far right, racist party.

Back when I was at Uni, there was a policy:
"No platform for racists or fascists"

Since then these people have been platformed, beginning with Farage being on every BBC show possible, even before his party had won a single council seat.

Now people quite like fascism.

Idi Amin deported 80,000 Asians from Uganda in 1972. So although the Conservatives want to propose the first mass deportation of legal migrants since Idi Amin - especially with the retrospective changes in ILR - Lam is proposing to deport 20 times as many people as Idi Amin.

Illustrative art used to be everywhere at one time. In catalogues, adverts, on record covers, in newspapers. Now it's been replaced by sterile digital photos or AI generated images.

No Landlords? Seriously?

I think people felt the same about Nick Clegg just before the 2010 election. Hopefully he won't disappoint.
What's amazing is that the Greens have somebody with charisma, which is what people vote for these days. He's even been allowed on Question Time.

Cost of Brexit, the failed Covid app and the fraudulent PPE totalled up come to nearly the annual spend of the NHS. Imagine trying to tell young people about magic money trees when they simply want what their parents had, after they've seen all that money wasted.

Were there other meetings/presentations going on as well? Maybe that’s what this is all about. The reason you get people face to face instead of over Signal is because you don’t want an audit trail.

Perhaps effort should be put into leading opinion rather than pandering to it. The fossil fuel lobby have managed to persuade many people that climate change is not real, so why can't this be done?

People are leaving the BBC in droves. If it doesn't demonstrate it's following its charter, then it should lose its funding.
Just a load of public school chums chatting with whoever they find in their contacts book, rather than doing any journalism.
Other media is replacing it.

BBC 'journalism' simply means they looked through their address book of Oxbridge/private school contacts and rang a few old chums for a chat.

"Immigration? Binky Smythe has opinions on that. His dad was stationed in India during the Raj. I'll give him a ding before we chair the next programme."

Buy to let mortgages: 20% cash up front, 80% interest only. As long as rent > interest, it’s an income. Landlords never pay more than 20% of advertised price. New build estates are now marketed as investment opportunities. Up that 20% up front to 75% (or higher) and you solve the housing crisis.

If the problem is that the Home Office has no accurate data covering who has a right to reside here, then how is setting this ID system up going to do anything other than cause another Windrush debacle?
