The "FPS map design" meme, showing a complex multi-looping Doom (1993) map layout vs a "2010" game's which is represented by a singular corridor with 4 right-angle turns, and 5 cutscene indicators. Except the FPS is crossed out and it now says "METROID PRIME" And the years are crossed out so instead of 1993 it says "MP1: Tallon Overworld (2002)" over the Doom map, and instead of 2010, it says "MP4: Flare Pool (2025" over the simple corridor.

So, they gave no fucks about the art style, colour, lighting, nor level geometry. Phonemes are interpolated incorrectly. And even in the trailer they show off non-functioning effects, as what were glowing/unlit procedurally animated textures are now dark... uh, meshes?

It's such mishmash of a mess.

Finally let myself finish Skin Deep last night, and this morning and afternoon I wrapped up on Tactical Breach Wizards. Still have some bonus missions and goals left in TBW, but that narrative was fantastic.

I'm really glad both games provided brief epilogues for all the characters. A nice goodbye.

This is so very good.

It took me 5 years to start trusting that Steam wouldn't just vanish, /probably/.

First time was this morning as I was editing the album cover to work as cover art for Plex/Jellyfin.

And this is probably gonna be what gets me to learn Advanced Substation Alpha formatting, since at the moment the incredible subtitles only work correctly on Youtube and my brain wants to archive.

But Wagner received confirmation in emails shared with Documentary that Break the Game was pulled from broadcast because PBS didn’t want the film’s transgender themes to help fuel further political backlash against public media before the Marjorie Taylor-Greene-led DOGE hearing against PBS and NPR held on March 26. “There’s no reading between the lines here. This is clear censorship because the film has a trans protagonist,” says Wagner. In early April, POV contacted Wagner to let her know the film was back on the schedule for a June 30 broadcast date, but in the two months in between, she didn’t know if it would ever air. “I’ve been really alarmed by the institutional response, which has been largely silent,” says Wagner. “It's been deeply disturbing to see institutions throw our trans communities or marginalized communities under the bus to protect their organizations.” Taylor-Greene’s DOGE hearing, in fact, leaned heavily into anti-trans rhetoric, with Taylor-Greene chastising a PBS FRONTLINE documentary called Growing Up Trans (2015) as evidence of PBS being “one of the founders of the trans child abuse industry.”
