As the presence of scammers rise, the Board wants to remind you to verify the identity and authorization of any individual you do not recognize before allowing them access to any areas where drugs are stocked. Please report intrusions to the police and the Board immediately!

The Board is aware of an issue where hospitals can't report intracompany transfers if the hospital pharmacy and hospital owned clinics are under the same DEA registration. These sales should not be reported to OARRS. For more information, visit: www.pharmacy.ohio.gov/reportingupdate

The Ohio Board of Pharmacy has created a rule tracker for licensees to track the status of pharmacy rules as they move through the five-year review process. The rule tracker can be accessed on the Board's website at www.pharmacy.ohio.gov/RuleTracker.

The Daily Active MME Threshold alert occurs when a patient receives a cumulative daily opioid dosage greater than 50 MME. Prior to this change, a Patient Alert would appear if a patient exceeded a total MME of 100 and a 40 MME/day average.

The Prescriber & Dispenser Threshold alert occurs when a patient fills controlled substance prescriptions written by a specified number of prescribers, filled at a specified number of pharmacies, within a specified amount of time.
