This post was a bit of an experiment. I stand by my opinion, but if I posted something similar on Xitter, I'd be swamped by vitriol and piled on by crypto-bros. Here, very calm and only one or two accounts to block.
Crypto isn't a currency. It's a massive ponzi scheme propped up by tech bros, speculators, and financial and political groups taking advantage of people who don't know better.

One thing I think people talking about the threat of authoritarian creep have gotten, if not exactly wrong, not quite right either is to frame discussion in terms of various European precedents.
