I adored Makoto Ueda's Beyond the Infinite 2 Minutes, a fun high concept time loop comedy.

I just watched Ueda's followup River, a fun high concept time loop comedy.

Looking forward to Ueda's third film Rewrite, which looks like a fun high concept time loop comedy.

I can on short notice give an hour long presentation on why cancelled-too-soon* high concept genre shows are the quintessential American art form

*some of these shows were extravagant boondoggles created in defiance of God's law and man's, but that's also quintessentially American

Deepstar Six, one of the better Abyss knockoffs, features what can only be described as a precursor updog.

We all remember the Gregorian chant craze of the mid 90s, but did you know there was a parody album?

Watched Wong Kar Wai's first film As Tears Go By the other night and quite liked it. A serviceable heroic bloodshed plot with some amazing moments of valorwave ennui, plus a great montage set to a Cantonese cover of Take My Breath Away
