Feeling helpless? Reading about how people resisted fascism always makes me feel better. People before me did it, I can too.

Guess who is getting more $ for private clinic surgeries? A clinic run by the group of orthopedic surgeons who paid to RENT THE OTTAWA GENERAL HOSPITAL ORs and drew nursing and other staff for weekend work.

Anybody remember that controversy? And, now they are being rewarded... tinyurl.com/3rh2sxhe

Okay, but after this she needs to go after Mehmet Oz (I won't be calling him doctor).

And then I, as a public health nurse, get to go after her for platforming Jenny MacCarthy.

"Well, jails are expensive to build and run."
"Well what should we do?"

That's all this people on bail committing crimes hysteria was about - enabling private companies to enter the game.

Sarah Jaffe's book Work Won't Love You Back really shaped my thinking on this. The book is all about how mission-oriented industries exploit passion to bypass good labor practices, with examples that include teaching, non-profits, art, and academia.

Terrifying & well-researched piece about how Epstein’s sick world-view funded & helped elevate the TechBros “cocktail party”
(already underway) agenda for eugenics, genetic manipulation, institutionalized misogyny, mass death & a fascist aristocracy of Broligarchs to rule us all.

This is real.

(** I block anyone who uses the term 'airborne AIDS'. It's both clearly not that & profoundly inappropriate.)

We all remember where we were. All women studying in science or engineering like I was felt the hate. We had felt it before and we have felt it since.
They died because they were women.
