Darco is kinda a snob type of person. He rather has the finest quality for the item he has, including his 'human' food; even he won't hesitate to intervene in the kitchen so he can get his food as what he desires.

As a vampire, he's not allergic to garlic, but he's just totally HATE it; from its stench and the strong taste, he just hates it so much, even since he was just a human.
He even hates it more when he becomes a vampire since his senses are enhanced, making garlic smells and taste even worse for him
