As the veil of night descends. Tonight after sundown as the last light retreated from the sky.

White feathers of ice have grown from frigid rocks and remained even as the water below receded. Below them, new ice forms between grayish brown rocks of a drying riverbed. No air was moving, as these delicate structures would surely not last long.
