That’s why you can still find good shit in indie spheres! Good art has never gone anywhere. But the obnoxious hypocrisy in mainstream circles and especially in the pro ai people is stunning. Norman Rockwell would not be able to make work under the conditions placed on artists today.

These people have extreme disdain for artists and blame the perceived quality problems on some imagined cultural shift, when the cultural shift is consumerism and capitalism continuously squeezing out the people who make stuff and not being interesting in giving them time or space to make things.

SO much of the cultural and artistic nostalgia that society chases was just art made when people got paid to do it. Lavish movie posters made by human artists, video games made by people without sixteen different investment companies breathing down their neck, movies made by studios taking a chance.
