I had a little steak, with kale and pepper sauce. Ha’penny jumped on the table and demanded cuddles. He then licked where the steak had been, and after reflection, quite a lot of the pepper sauce.

I once found a sticker entitled Règlement du Chef (I think). It had various rules including “le chef reste le chef, même en caleçon de bain”. And also “le chef ne mange pas, il se nourrit”.
