Me. I'll maybe write silly stuff about Eurovision or anime or something. Or not, whatever.
Half of me wants to be nice and accept that people are completely free to enjoy whatever songs they want.

But the other half is seeing the #Eurovision fandom state "Queen of Kings" from Lidl should win #Montesong2025 and just wants Nordic songwriters banned from NFs for a decade.

It's a stalemate.

Also EBU: We are implementing strict social distancing between animals and humans. Strictly no eating allowed during #Eurovision week.

That's it, I just wanted to say this. See you in 27 minutes.

Hear, hear.
The new age limit for #Eurovision makes sense. It's a gruelling, high pressure process.

And on the subject, I'd change to JESC ages from 9-14 to something like 12-16. Putting 9 year olds against teenagers is odd.

"The most average #Eurovision song of the past decade is ‘Dizzy’ by Olly Alexander."

I haven't even finished reading the article and learning why, but on instinct alone, this already feels right.

In any other year, the EBU going to lengths to facilitate the participation of Eastern Europe in an age they're losing interest in #Eurovision is something that would make me very happy.

However, this year, it just feels like a desperate act to avoid a contest with fewer than 30 countries.

Google translating the questionnaire and it honestly feels like CyBC is just fishing for prompts to give ChatGPT for when they inevitably ask it to write them their 2026 #Eurovision entry.
🇨🇾 CyBC has published a questionnaire asking the Cypriot public about their preferences for their #Eurovision 2026 entry.

The broadcaster wants to know opinions about artist, song, lyrics, performance, and strategy/image. Responses will be collected until 6 November.

Welp, time to get my headphones, I guess.

"The reality is that every other field will be watching the EBU with interest to see whether the Contest maintains its inclusion of Israel or takes the unprecedented step of exclusion. That makes the EBU’s decision for 2026 a defining one."

Again? And then you wonder why people complain about #Eurovision being standardized year after year. Wieder with the stage, Björkman with the running order, the core production team also barely changes anymore too. God forbid they hire some local talent in the hosting country.
🇦🇹 Florian Wieder has been hired by ORF to design the stage for #Eurovision 2026, Kleine Zeitung reports.

It would be the German’s 10th stage design, having previously designed the stages in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2024, and 2025.
