This is a pretty bad look for the protocols around injuries. I have to assume the player wanted to push through it and try to stay on the field after being on the sidelines his whole career. With his adrenaline pumping it is hard to tell him no. Maybe the extent of the injury wasn’t clear.

I don’t want to “like” this, but i definitely want to acknowledge it. Reading this makes the splinters left in my butt from the old Rice Stadium bleachers ache.
