If we're all on a log flume to hell anyway, can we at least get the Maryland State Legislature to rename itself, "The League of Extraordinary Marilanders?"

Dr. Sylvia Earle was one of my heroes as a kid and she still is. The National Aquarium had a deep sea diving JIM suit replica with her face projected inside. I'd love to see that video again.

"Much of the knowledge about Uranus was gleaned when NASA's robotic spacecraft Voyager 2 conducted a five-day flyby in 1986. But scientists have now discovered that the probe visited at a time of unusual conditions - an intense solar wind event" 👀

Scientists uncover a magnetic misunderstanding about Uranus
In 1781, German-born British astronomer William Herschel made Uranus the first planet discovered with the aid of a telescope. This frigid planet, our solar system's third largest, remains a bit of an enigma 243 years later. And some of what we thought we knew about it turns out to be off the mark.

Decorating for Halloween? Just a suggestion. If you're going to fill your yard with scary ghosts and goblins and draculas, pull that statue of the Virgin Mary in first. She looks terrified

This year I'm Halloweening as Fred from Scooby-Doo. I'm not wearing a costume, just going to walk around pulling the masks off of trick-or-treating children.

A free, open and accessible exhibit is what the Aquarium has needed since the seal pool closed forever ago. Something welcoming and part of the city every day. And even better that it connects people to their own ecosystem.
