UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen emphasised the urgency of reaching agreement on comprehensive measures to address plastic pollution. Around 3,700 delegates from 184 countries & 600+ organisations for the final round of negotiations to lock in a treaty on plastic pollution INC Chair Luis Vayas Valdivieso opened the session with calls for unity and completion of the mandate given under UNEA Resolution 5/14
