Just heard RFK Jr on a podcast and her portrait sounds like a cartoon caricature of a sick person.
AI proponents always talk about how it can save humanity and improve our lives, but I’ve never once believed it. However, with recent advances and access to platforms like Sora2, I’ve seen a rise of AI slop take over every video feed to the point that I’ve completely broken my doomscrolling habit.

Listening to a male barista try and explain the Del Toro Frankenstein movie to his female coworker but he can’t remember the word flashback and thinks it sucks there was no Igor in it. Maybe Northern California won’t be that different.

- still shuffling with shaky lines. How do I stop getting shaky lines?
- tried some shading techniques with stippling and hatching, kinda fun.
- retouched the sword to practice going over things
- prepping the surface was a huuuuge game changer
- I like the round-bottom flask the most

First time with the tattoo machine!
- my hands shake. Maybe no coffee before tattooing?
- I need to practice at different voltage settings and see what works best for me
- the ink smears a lot and I did NOT prep my surface properly for it
- I need to be more conscious of what directions I push/pull

I was asked to guest at another DMs table this week with the direction of “there’s been a jailbreak, they need a tank” so here is Cadet Bill. Bill keeps failing his promotion exams and getting bullied about being so scrawny — but he’s been working out for the last 6 months and is ready to show it.

my TTRPG players at this point are close to 40, seeing as I myself am close to 40, and they increasingly want to play characters who are older. What this means is I have like three active games where 3-4 70 year olds are accompanying a plucky 16 year old on a whirlwind adventure to save the world.

I have to admit that the last week left me a little stunned. I have been trying to think of what to say beyond mere platitudes. It is beyond me that so much of the industry is focused on such short-term profit-taking, in a way that is so damaging not only to employees, but to the very business -

I am once again expressing my extreme distaste for how casually people like to play videos at full volume in public. I blame Apple for removing the headphone socket. And people for being shameless and terrible.

Pasadena sheriffs have blocked off this section of Pasadena with a helicopter circling above. As I was driving by, white SUVS with no marking but lights and sirens were driving towards the area. What do I with this information? I called a rapid response network already.
