I lost my sister suddenly July 22nd, leaving behind 7 kids we now must raise. At the same time, our grandfather was diagnosed with brain cancer. We’re heartbroken and overwhelmed. Please help us support the kids and give Grandpa a dignified goodbye.

Any help means the world. 💔🙏🏽😭

Sharing this from Facebook.

So many women I know would agree with this. I am welling up with tears based on stories I have heard where women were not supported and/or doubted, even many years later.

really important to emphasize that roberts' view of the executive branch as comprising a single individual is literally contradicted by the text of the constitution itself
“What America is witnessing is a remaking of the American presidency into something closer to a dictatorship,” Peter M. Shane argues. That project is the work of Chief Justice John Roberts:
How John Roberts Built the New American Presidency
The country is witnessing the creation of an all-powerful institution, and one man is responsible.

I think attorneys have a duty to break the generational cycle of treating the attorneys under them like shit. I get it, your job is hard. that doesn’t mean you get to be a tyrant about it. new attorneys should demand more respect from their supervisors and managers.

when you, years out from an election, say "i will vote for that triangulating shitbag throwing minorities under the bus because they'll still be better than the other guy" you need to understand that the triangulating shitbag is Watching You: "they'll still vote for me! no need to change course!"

One day. That’s the slap in the face the DOJ is calling “accountability” in Breonna Taylor’s case.

Now they want to act like civil rights charges were too much? Please be for real.

If you’re wondering how little they value Black lives—look no further.
DOJ seeks one-day sentence for officer in raid that killed Breonna Taylor
In November, a federal jury found officer Brett Hankison guilty of violating Taylor’s civil rights during a March 2020 police raid in which she was fatally shot.

huh. that must be why Bret Stephens, a Republican, is using his New York Times column to try to prevent that mayoralty from happening: because it would be so good for Republicans
For Republicans, “a Mamdani mayoralty would be the political gift that keeps on giving,” our columnist Bret Stephens writes about the New York mayoral race. “The state of the city would become a reflection of the Democratic Party writ large.”
Opinion | Mamdani for Mayor (if You Want a Foil for Republicans)
Get ready for the G.O.P. to run against “Mamdani Democrats” for several election cycles to come.

Said in other countries, this would be labelled as religious fanaticism.
Mike Johnson: "God miraculously saved the president's life -- I think it's undeniable -- and he did it for an obvious purpose. His presidency and his life are the fruits of divine providence. He points that out all the time and he's right to do so."

I did an outdoor yoga class in a minneapolis park the other day. And my husband is, right now, playing softball in a Minneapolis park. My son is, right now, standing on dock fishing for northern pike, also in a Minneapolis park.

Stephen Miller doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.
Stephen Miller: "We have communities all across this nation that 20 years ago, before the era of open borders, were completely peaceful, completely stable. Look at a place like Minneapolis. Post mass migration they're unsafe, they're violent, you cannot use the public parks."
