Haha yeah. I didn't use Usenet, but I've seen the same effect happen many times in many sites. Digg, Reddit, just to name a couple. Once a forum/social media reached a certain threshold of popularity, the norm and culture will change.

I'm pretty sure it'll eventually happen to Bluesky too.
