Cooper Flagg probably has a 2029 calendar with a kelly green X marking the day he might be able to leverage a jump to the Celtics.

I took a walk through the snowfall this morning. The first snow is always magical.

spoiler: I live somewhat north of both Orlando and Mexico City.

It'd be a surprise if the Cs don't acquire another center this season.

Atl is a good possibility as a trade partner.

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, they traded the rights to their 2026 draft pick to get Derik Queen so they can't tank.

Phx also has multiple centers, but they're raw.

If a GM isn't fired for arguably the worst trade in NBA history, then what would justify it?

Nico should be let go for the trade he did, and based on that, to prevent the trades he'll do in the future. The fans are correct in requesting this.

There's a good chance that's true, but the story isn't over yet and Queta is writing his own ending in the coming months.
November 8, 2025 at 3:29 PM
I'm sure Brad Stevens knows this, and that it's a situation that requires waiting for the right opportunity.

Queta is solid and improving. But...

Garza is unathletic while playing in a league of superb athletes.

Tillman is maybe the shortest center in the NBA.

Boucher is exceptionally slim.

The Celtics would be way better if they'd just been able to keep Kornet.

They need (NEED) another real big man.

How is it that Nico is still in a position to explore anything about anything?
November 7, 2025 at 7:07 PM
No we're not sure, but we think so.

If the core lineup at some point is something like Queta, Tatum, Brown, White, and Minott; with Pritchard, Hauser, Gonzalez, unknown-big-man and more off the bench, that's a real team.

If unknown-big-man is better than Queta, it's even more towards sure.

Sample size aside, this shows how close the Celtics are to being really good.

Add Tatum (when he's completely ready) and a second XL rim protector, and they become a very dangerous team.
November 7, 2025 at 2:17 PM
The Celtics would win a lot more with a second real center. Other teams' big bodies are pummeling them.

Use your play by play powers to make it happen Sean!

I'm for a game in Mexico City.

I'm against Cooper Flagg on the Mavs. It's temporary though. He'll be a Celtic a few years from now, somehow, when contracts allow.

Lastly, as long as we're on the subject of the Mavs, fire Nico. Being ping pong lucky doesn't erase the stain. Out damned spot!

It's good to get these Amazon games out of the way early.

That was the apex of the Pitino era. It was all downhill after the first game.
October 31, 2025 at 7:53 PM
There's no recording, but you have a 2 hour window to start the game. So if a game begins at 7, you can start as late as 9. There's a replay the next morning too.

You can pause, fast forward through commercials & rewind.

You also get the NBC/Peacock national games, & the whole NBCSB channel.

The Celtics being available direct to consumer through Peacock allowed me to drop YTTV. They were pretty much the only think I watched on the service.

It's $65 a month cheaper, and I don't have to give Rupert Murdoch his share each time.
October 31, 2025 at 1:36 PM
I can only conclude they're a top team and one small step from contention.

Sample size be damned. Reality checks not accepted.
October 30, 2025 at 9:19 PM
It's a sign of maturity. Scheierman came in as a college star and his play for the Celtics reflected that mindset. Cold reality has finally put him on a different path.

He's restarted with the basics, and has to slowly expand from there. D, rebounds and passing first.
