Anyone lose a bike? Trillium path at Bayview
September 28, 2025 at 11:14 AM
I've had this as a long term goal for a while, trying to make it far easier to access information on projects.

In the future I will be adding consultation information, along with a calendar of upcoming city consultations. For now I am focused on bike projects, will soon add all traffic calming

There's a smaller version in Barrhaven now

No link but here's an image of the plan at POW / Preston. Minimal changes happening at Carling until the transit project goes ahead

A Gordon Food Services truck was parked on top of an LRT air vent this morning. I spoke with the driver who refused to move and didnt seem to understand the potential dangers. I informed nearby special constables, who drove away

You can also use some websites that will transfer your old tweets to bluesky, I think the one I used cost 2$, but I'm pretty sure you can do it manually somehow as well. Bluesky gives all the old ones an archived tag

OC is aware of this one now at Pimisi, wondering how long it will be until it's fixed, to add insult to injury, it's likely an RTM vehicle that destroyed it
June 16, 2025 at 1:31 AM
I prefer this installation at Pimisi

Something I noticed while visiting the Boston area last year is how prevalent granite(?) curbs were. I suspect because they are more durable than standard concrete. Would be nice to use them so they stand up more against our snow plows.

(also a benefit is them just looking absolutely awesome)

Sure free service weekend is nice. But I don't really care about the 4$ when I just miss the train and end up waiting 10 mins. It's time to bring back the promised service levels

Np, visit while you can, definitely not supposed to be open yet lol
April 13, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Heads up #ottbike Kiweki Point (formerly Nepean Point) is unofficially open today. It is wonderful, a bit hot in the sun until the trees grow in. But some nice shade under the "space ship"

Dont normally post pictures of random people, but I had to share this one.

We really should be ashamed that an older person with a walker has to walk in the road of a street like Preston.

I think its time we fund the updated snow clearing standards

Probably a temporary facility while the construction is ongoing. The hospital work will include uni directional cycle tracks on POW in sections.

Where does this new facility start?
December 12, 2024 at 12:54 PM
A controversial one, Earl Grey Underpass, has received some improvements, now getting a protected intersection at Didsbury rd in addition to the one at Terry Fox, and now also getting AT facilities in the underpass itself.

A new contraflow bike lane will be built on James st from Bronson to Bank st.
This project will begin construction in the spring.
November 16, 2024 at 6:08 PM
After nearly a decade of logistic related delays, the design of Carling cycle track / median bus lane upgrade project will get updated to prepare for construction.
This project will add cycle tracks from Sherwood to Bronson and will connect to the Preston tracks to the south.
