I hate the idea of a golden fleet, because it will probably actually be gilded, but there’s a reason to like the idea as well:

Universities will keep sexual predators on the faculty because their "hands are tied by tenure." Turns out protesting genocide is all it takes to loosen those unshakable chains.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Rand Paul just posted this letter from the Coast Guard confirming that 1/4 of the boats they stop carry no contraband. The likelihood that Hegseth & Bradley ordered the murder of innocent civilians is very high.

I stayed up late last night and slept in this morning, and woke up to this in our backyard. She was trying to figure out eyes, nose and a scarf. I helped with the nose and hat. The rest is her work. After finishing I shoveled snow off the drive, porch, and sidewalk.

“We’ve got your back”, he says, as he slams the bus down on top of him
Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

Visited my sister today to drop off a microwave that we no longer needed but she could use. She was getting out Christmas decorations, and gave me my stocking from when I was little. This stocking is between 50-54 years old. My mom made stocking for each of us.

Pluribus is definitely my kind of horror (at least the first episode, anyway). The sense of unease was so real. I actually felt sick at a couple points. Will this last through several episodes? What happens next?!

Today is the anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Not only did the law literally open doors to countless students with disabilities (myself included), it also had the unintended consequence of creating the moral panic around an autism "epidemic." 🧵 1/
