Regional Coordinator Barbara Stransky presented the St. Nicholas Christmas Truck with PEF Region 7's annual donation on Friday.

The St. Nicholas Christmas Truck has been collecting donations for 5 years now, after the Roberts family started the charity in memory of their son Nicholas.

It's a full house at PEF HQ for Region 8 Stewards training, with 50+ member leaders from 19 agencies learning the many roles of the steward, health and safety practices, the grievance process, discipline and discharge, organizing, and other important aspects of the PS&T contract.

The PEF Labor-Management Advisory Council met today at union HQ to discuss health and safety issues, educational benefits under Article 15, and the impact of federal budget cuts. PEF VP Bruce Giddings chaired the meeting, which included LM chairs and PEF Field Services staff from across the state.

Labor unions are stepping up to make sure no family goes hungry in NY. PEF VP Bruce Giddings joined a coalition of other union leaders on 11/13 to help the Regional Food Bank deliver food for thousands of NYers.
