Also i know it sounds easier than it is but what worked for me was just sort of not listening. Sort of not caring... its a mixture of both.
Also a first step is to be able to laugh at yourself. It works wonders.

Also about the book, m8 take your time, these things take a lot, mental capacity, creativity, time, so dont push it, itll be at your pace, who know's you might even create the next masterpiece, but itll take time, just, let it do so, if you rush it, you just might loose it

if you'd have me id love to DM a game or two, sure i'd have to coordinate with players but yeh, id love to play more so id be down to take the DM role if needed

If you do and you lack dms you can technically add the friends and fables bot which is specifically made to be a DM
Also you could add me.... just saying id love to play more DND

Also sidenote how's the book going?

tell me about it, 2 books, 5 videogames, 10+ dnd campaigns both as player and DM... i hate leaving stuff like that, yet all i can do is keep trying untill i make it

thats normal, what i may recommend specially if you arent doing this as a job but as a hobbie or side project, is to take it easy, its not going to come out all at once even if you have the whole story planned out. relax and let the story come out on its own. Just dont abandon it
