We're the third wheel of forecast offices. We still use WSR-57. Winner of Biggest Polygon at the county fair. Not an actual NWS office…but we should be.
We're delighted to see that Roy is thriving in his role as roving ambassador.

We have also joined "Threads" because we are with it, we are hip. Twenty-three skiddoo.

Forecasts and warnings will still disseminate through television, radio, fax, and holler chains.

NWS offices still can't tweet! We got you.

This new tornado watch in eastern Illinois is almost shaped like the state of Indiana.

Don't let that confuse you. Really. We get so many calls about county shapes. We don't control them. But imagine if we did.

Here's a look at the severe weather threat across the country this afternoon. Looks suspiciously like a setup we saw on this day in 1802.

Here's our #SafePlaceSelfie in the NWS Podunk storm shelter. There's a basement in our building where the previous tenant used to age their pepperoni. The lightbulb is broken, but you get the point.

Make sure you always know where to go when storms strike!

Today we've finally caught up with the other offices by using a clearer warning text format! It's proven to decrease reading-related apathy by 2%.

You're all more than welcome to use our pirated signal from GOES-5 to tide you over while GOES-16 moves into orbit next month.

We hired a student to give us one of those aggressive splash screens to drum up interest in our newsletter. It's a little on the nose.

We've spent 4 hours agonizing over whose birthday to put. It sure as h*ck won't be Roy's since he was a Leap Day baby (because OF COURSE).

Please don't let your kids jump on our cars.

If you put a googly eye in the middle of Tropical Storm Gert and tilt it to the left a little bit, it looks like a young, optimistic eel.

Our request for one of those fancy "current temps" templates was denied so we had to download the Power Point and make our own. We like it!
