The Kitsap Severe Weather Shelters have been open almost every night for about a month. Volunteers are exhausted but AWESOME. and keep showing up night after night. 🥰 On Tuesday night, half the volunteers at the Port Orchard shelter were NHW Board members!! - Geoff, Maggie, and Anton

Our ability to work hand-in-hand with other organizations and support people in ways that they can't find elsewhere is one of the things that sets NWH apart. We are only able to do this because of the generosity of individual donors who grant us the flexibility to respond as needed in a situation

Being rendered homeless after fleeing from child traffickers was something I never thought I would have to face. Living in my car with 2 big dogs, doing door dash to survive while looking for work, going to interviews and relying on my vehicle for shelter, employment, and a small sense of sec...

Northwest Hospitality provided the means to keep my car going when I absolutely could not afford to do it myself. I spent 8 months in my car on the street, and another 8 months in a homeless shelter program. Due to my disability and an incident where I was the victim of a crime, I was not workin...

Off to the Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center in Bremerton with our mobile closet today.
We will never stop supporting our migrant neighbors. They all have more American spirits than any of the hateful, cowardly, selfish, disgusting "americans" who want to see our neighbors deported en masse.

We love working with other organizations and finding ways to strengthen the outreach capabilities of everybody who cares about our unhoused and vulnerable neighbors!

The generosity of Northwest Hospitality changed my life from homelessness and despair to a bright, secure and peaceful future.

In 2024, most of our donations came in from people named some version of Chris or Christine, leading the pack with 6. Jen(n)ifer was just behind with 5, and Amy, Emily, Robert, and Tom were all tied with 4.

Random trends that pop out while digging through hundreds of names preparing tax receipts ;)

253 tax receipts from '24 prepped to be sent out over the next couple of days - thank you for all of the generous donations!

More thoughtful feedback
January 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Some of our friends have been sharing feedback with us about how we have been able to lend a hand. It never feels like we are able to do enough, but hearing how much even the little things can help means a lot.

So hard to keep up - 15 voice messages to go through tomorrow. We have a little bit of funding from donations over the holidays, but it definitely won't go far enough. Look for ways to help your neighbors; we need to lift each other up!

Setting up our new storage and donation processing space for the mobile closet - Anton is excited to get his garage back!

We try to store as little as possible, clothes and supplies don't help our neighbors when they're tucked away in our bins, but we still need a bit to stock all of our locations
