We've started spatchcocking and smoking our turkey(s) but otherwise I'd totally stuff the damn bird. I wield a thermometer and know how to use it!

I hope it was delish!

When the word was not used as a slur that I had to see I felt ok to use it when I needed it in a non-slur context. The more I see it used as a slur, the less I can use it about yeasted dough. I'm not sure I'm 100% making sense.

This.

I've used the word over the years about bread dough. It's a precise term with a well defined meaning, that allowed me to communicate with my kid who bakes (and we often tag team on baking, so communication is key!)

Now. I don't any longer.

Ikr? I usually buy my park pass in March or April. I think I'll eat the diff and renew in December this year, because otherwise I'll feel a little bit sick each time I go to a park or display my pass at a hiking trail.
November 26, 2025 at 4:39 AM
My pass runs through April iirc, but I may buy another one early in December to avoid that.... horror.

What. The. Everloving. Fuck.

OMG.

I just can't. That's... not fucking ok. This is just insane.

That said, I love, and make often, baked apples that would probably be good in a pie crust, though I've never bothered.

Any pie worth eating has erries in it. Cherries, blueberries, strawberries (with rhubarb!), marionberries, blackberries, raspberries... Not sure I've ever had mulberry pie, though.

All the other fruit pies? Meh.

Pumpkin and sweet potato are blech, and many of the others are just sweet quiche.

Cold, always. And crisp and deep golden brown. If I am having butter on it, I do not want the butter to melt.

It avoids my spending $$ on books I don't really want when in bookdragon hoarding mode, which ends up stressing me out. I'm a usual library user but sometimes I do not want to wait, so.

I posted about this elsewhere today, but my way to get "free books that I pay for" is to use Bing Rewards. Bing search is as good as google, so eh on that, I accumulate rewards, buy amazon gc and use those to buy books.

I do this because it helps me avoid the dragon on her book hoard thing that ends up stressing me out when I end up buying a whole bunch of books that I don't really want because bad-book-dragon reasons.

I also use my Rewards points for donations through the site.

I have found a way to get "free" books by paying for them for the times when I don't want to wait for the library. I use Bing as my search engine (it's as good as Google, so eh), get the MS Rewards points, turn the points into Amazon gift cards and buy books.

Exactly this. Does it matter how unpopular he is when he is getting everything he wants done done?

Dunno, but I have Post Its in that exact color.

And unless I'm reading wrong, that doesn't cover the end of June early July post debate feeding frenzy.

And alas I do not believe in anything even remotely supernatural but at times I like to pretend to myself that I do. I mean, I know there is no fae in that tree even if I don't know why there is an iron ring around it.

BTW. Lodgepole pine about 100ft tall. Ring was unbroken with no obvious potential break point. Clearly a fae prison.

We gave our names to noone.
