ugh i’m sorry, yeah there is so much wrong with the industry. most of my friends studying psych are neurodivergent and oftentimes going into it because they’ve also had negative experiences and want to be a better resource, but systematically there’s just so much wrong w the industry

it’s interesting to think about, i know a lot of people studying psych in college right now and it makes me want to ask them what their thoughts are and also what they’ve been taught in school

other people with ocd who do think of it as neurodivergence and i can understand the reasoning behind it

i don’t entirely know how i feel about using these terms as umbrella terms because ie i have adhd (which to me just feels different) and ocd (which to me feels like it inherently makes my life worse, and i would get rid of it if i could) and those feel like 2 distinct categories, but i also see +

i can’t explain it but i do see it in the sense that certain colors pop out to me as they’re doing it. i kinda wanna do it myself but i’m worried if i do i’d never be able to get it out of my head and constantly be thinking “but this shirt isn’t a STANDOUT color!”
