That's exactly what blows my mind coming from a conservative upbringing. They simply cannot envision people just choosing to be kind to each other. They project because they have a limited imagination. Everyone would of course do what they would do, which is awful.
A key component of conservatism is that, if given the chance, everyone would be as shitty as conservatives would be.

I was never very good at Twitter, and by extension I am not very good at BlueSky. I keep FB locked down to just actual people I know, and then participate separately in groups. Here feels...chaotic? Almost impossible to have an actual discussion.

I have my own biases, and won't pretend otherwise, but this really does sum up for me why I won't go anywhere near a church anymore. This priest was clearly in the right. The death threats are insane.
