It’s #EastonBaconFest so it’s time for Troop 3’s Bacon S’mores!

This year we’ve got s’mores trail mix too! Plus soda, Gatorade, water, and hot chocolate.

Stop by and support the scouts!

Never mind - figured it out. You have to click on the character profile (in this screenshot, it's in the dotted green circle).

That brings up a character-specific menu, which includes the "export to PDF" option. #demiplane #Fallout2d20 #Fallout

Moving on to 2010: The Year We Make Contact. I haven't watched it in decades, but it's one of my favorite movies.

Very different from 2001, but good in its own way. And 12-year-old me will fight you if you disagree. :)

Rewatching #WatershipDown and working on my #Fallout one-shot for MEPACon.

I'm not sure how the opening field-of-blood scene didn't scare the crap out of me as a kid. Maybe it did, and I don't recall; I just remember being utterly enthralled by the movie and then the book.

Sad day, as I retired my 27-year-old Jeep Wrangler.

It had a hell of a ride, but a cracked frame (after many spot welds to keep it running) meant it finally reached the end of the road.

Goodbye old friend. I'll miss you every damn day.

Back to the Enterprise, this time with modern versions of the original decals thanks to CMR.

Saw the Cubs beat the Cardinals at Wrigley yesterday. My train trip est had a long layover … so why not get in some baseball?

Continuing work on the Enterprise. Took the advice of Damon Agretto and bought some Microscale Industries “Liquid Decal Film”. It’s designed to help very old decals maintain their cohesion when you put them in water. #StarTrek #ModelRockets

Slow progress on the Enterprise as I add the 50-year-old decals.

As I mentioned before, these decals tend to disintegrate on contact with water (and you need water to apply them) so … I’m going slowly. Very slowly. #ModelRockets

Model rocket decals require you to cut out the decal, float it in water, then slide it onto the rocket.

It's a delicate process at the best of times, but with 50-year-old decals, it's particularly challenging. They tend to disintegrate, as this one did.

Entering the final stretch of the #Enterprise model rocket build: adding the decals. #StarTrek

Progress on the Enterprise! I'm almost done with painting the fine details. I've got a few small tiles to paint and glue to the ship (little nervous about those) and then the main event:

Attempting to apply 50-year-old water-based decals to the ship. #StarTrek #ModelRockets

That moment when you're building a model rocket, and you realize, umm, you've got extra pieces... #Rocketry #ModelRockets #Enterprise

Continuing to work on the Enterprise while watching the second half of #StarTrekIII - The Search for Spock.

With the hull primed, I'm doing the detail paint work - the "sensor dish", the warp nacelles, etc. After that comes the hardest part ... applying the decals.

As I was working on the Enterprise last night, I realized I had primed it, but hadn't put on the "spaceship gray" base coat. Today, I ran out & grabbed paint from my local hardware store to fix that. #StarTrek #ModelRockets

“NCC-1701. No bloody A, B, C, or D.”

Also: #StarTrek III - The Search for Spock.

It's a cross-franchise Friday night as I watch #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds and finish (fingers crossed) painting my #StarWars R2D2 model rocket.

Painting the Enterprise (also a rocket) is on deck tonight as well, but I REALLY want to finish R2 first.

Back from a week of cabin camping at Lake Champlain.

Not exactly looking forward to re-engaging with the real world, but thankfully I've got a buffer day before I return to work. #Vacation #Vermont #LakeChamplain

Enjoying my new (and cheap) Anker Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad Pro. I didn’t need something fancy; I just needed something that worked. This keyboard fit the bill perfectly.

WARNING: Reading "Go, Dog. Go!" & other children's books to your toddler can lead to a life-long love of reading, culminating with your 19-year-old son reading all of Frank Herbert's #Dune novels in one summer.

He's been advised that things get weird.

He's ok with that. :)

Back from 12 awesome days of backpacking in #Philmont. It was great to go to sleep in my own (flat - no slopes!) bed last night without having to toss my smellables (eg toothpaste) in bear line’s “oops” bag.

Making progress on ol’R2-D2, now with silver highlights. Meanwhile, Peterson was pitching a complete game for the Mets in the background. #ModelRocketry
