I picked up the Golden Girls boxset a while back, I’d never seen it before but was recommended to watch it. Funny show.

Appreciate Pat Leonard’s glowing comments about her and high praise from Rick Nowls and Norman Mailer too.

I love Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and the Stooges for the physical humour, but Groucho’s wit is unmatched I think by any comedian. Love both the Marx Brothers boxset collections. I do need to watch more of Abbott and Costello, admittedly I’ve seen very little. Must invest in a good boxset.

Much missed. Bottom and Young Ones both very funny, but I absolutely love The New Statesman. Comedy genius.

A few rewatches over the coming days, looking forward to watching these as I haven’t seen any of them in quite a while.

A seminal masterpiece. M’s artistic brilliance, personal strength and courage - especially during this era is something I’ll always sincerely admire. A true artist, who stood up for what she believed it & who was ahead of her time. I think Soul Kiss by ONJ is very overlooked.

My all time favourite movie. Funny too, as well as being profoundly powerful and moving.

This is a wonderful concert dvd- one of my favourites.

This and Jane Eyre are great novels. I much prefer the Brontes, especially Charlotte to Austen (who I struggle with, despite liking plenty of female writers 🤷 ).

A rewatch. Classic British movie.

Two new purchases. I love these books & couldn’t resist a (new) physical copy.

Some afternoon listening, before a movie later. Always loved Gish just as much as Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. Really like/love all the Pumpkins music up to and including The Machina albums (some good later stuff, but it doesn’t connect with me the same).

I’m that way and same with my music & movies. There’s no cure for the ailment. 😂 Just need to always make sure enough is left to cover bills etc. I don’t buy magazines anymore, only very rarely.

Yes definitely. I need to add more poetry to my collection I only own Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath, some Poe and Bukowski at the moment. Need to pick up some Hardy and Heaney. Raymond Carver too. I do love poetry from time to time, but seem to read novels much more often for whatever reason. 🤷
