We must pay billions to farmers

Because we cut off their customers with tariffs

And pay billions to Argentina

Whose farmers are selling to the customers we forfeited

Because that is America First

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

We threw out a hundred years of anti-corruption reforms overnight and so far barely anyone has even noticed.
This sort of comic book corruption is quite literally illegal in every single country in the world that has written laws. I don't even know what else you say about this, it's amazing

Elon Musk called Social Security a "ponzi scheme." This is absolute rubbish. Social Security has paid every benefit owed to every eligible American for 85 years. Perhaps the bigger "ponzi scheme" is the $38 billion spent by taxpayers to prop up his corporations?

A key, decades-old conservative insight is that people like most of what government does, so their only hope of victory is to relentlessly abstract away from anything specific to "government" or "spending" or "bureaucracy," empty linguistic vessels into which they can more easily pour bile.

Many are now currying favor with Trump to avoid accountability and maintain their power.

“Mass heat mortality events…” damn I’m sad that will become a commonplace phrase.
NEW: Mass heat mortality events are coming. In our new preprint, we project tens of thousands of deaths per week in Europe, if the weather patterns that produced heat waves historically happen again at future -- or even current -- global temperatures.

Over 200 cars were abandoned in the Pacific Palisades fire as people fled for their lives, many taking their keys with them. A bulldozer had to clear the vehicles so that fire trucks could get to where they needed to go.
