Where I live I have to drive 15mins in the opposite direction to park and drive on a bus that runs only during peak times and makes two stops only. Halifax is a huge city, all of those people pay taxes for the city core that many can’t access with public transit as it currently works.

And for those that don’t know Halifax extends for HOURS long drives along the shore and those people pay taxes for the city of Halifax that they have no access to without a car!

Halifax is extremely ablest and it shows when people argue to remove cars when they have no appropriate solution for those in wheelchairs and similar.

They have years of accessibility measures to catch up on before this is an option that includes the disabled community

Withholding money for food and finding money for every unnecessary thing is what sparked the French Revolution. Literally.
