Then... it was found that fully 1 in 300 men weren't 46,XY. Some women were. Oops. After DNA was discovered in the 50s, it was found that the SrY gene, usually found on the Y chromosome, sometimes was missing. And sometimes had been translocated to another chromosome, hence 46,XX men and 46,XY women

It’s hard to take any of them seriously as having done anything more than stumbled their way into luck… and success. Simply based on their very public actions and decisions lately. Not to mention their assorted business failings/failures which now make sense (incl “Meta” anything etc.)

The most generous take I can have for certain individuals is to blame it on aging. They’re losing cognitive capacity to understand the gravity of the moment, and the role they can still play.

Indifference is perhaps the worst [lack of] emotion one may possibly feel.

I’ve become indifferent to their individual roles as public servants.

The answers or solutions don’t lie with them.

Indeed. We blew past those signposts decades ago.

Also funny how women dying due to lack of access to basic reproductive healthcare, or children being slaughtered in schools didn’t seem to count. Among other preventable tragedies.
