Elsewhere, the Carbon and Skykomish rivers have already reached Major Flood Stage. The Puyallup is nearly there as well, and the NWS is now forecasting a long-duration Major Flood on the Cowlitz River at Randle. #wawx

This Atmospheric River is set to bring potentially record-breaking flooding to rivers in Western Washington. The Snohomish is projected to set a new record while the forecast for the Skagit at Mt. Vernon would be the 7th highest on record, roughly on par with Oct. 21, 2023. #wawx

Sneaky little rain event coming for parts of western WA with a trend upward in this morning's model guidance. The Olympics and N Cascades will catch the brunt of it. Fortunately, there's not a lot of snow to melt and reservoirs have plenty of space. Still, some minor local flooding is possible #wawx

I'm liking what I'm seeing for snow totals in the mountains! Snow levels will plunge to around or even below 4000 feet on Sunday. Then on Monday, while SLs may rise, still looking like a nice upslope event with impressive early season totals above 4500'. #wawx
