Brazil hosts the world’s largest rhodolith beds—home to 1,000+ species, many threatened or endemic. Yet most lack protection and face mounting threats. Urgent action is needed to safeguard these vital biodiversity hotspots.

New paper alert!
First large-scale biodiversity assessment for rhodolith beds (entire Brazilian coast) that reveals their importance as habitats for threatened, endemic, and commercial species, and identifies hotspots for biodiversity that are still largely unprotected.
