I’m terrified of horror movies. I usually avoid them like the plague but I braved it for #WeaponsMovie and I’m so glad I did.
It’s absolute insanity from start to finish, and I thoroughly enjoyed every unsettling, mind-bending second of it.

don't let anyone spew the narrative that this wasn't inevitable. every single person i've met has sacrificed their health, their weekends and evenings, to try to do their best work while the people at the top squeezed them with stupid goals and sudden editorial changes. talent is everywhere you see
i am far too stupid to be weighing in on this but one thing i would stress is that gaming media’s collapse wasn’t an inevitable fact of life. it’s the result of very stupid people making decisions they could have just as easily not made

At this point it'd be better for a site to shut down and disappear than to be sold to Valnet. This company is a blight.

The collapse of the film studio system didn't lead to much but another attempt at the same system, the collapse of which we can currently witness. Indies themselves suffer from increasing consolidation, due to decreased funding sources. It's bleak, but both a lot of deserving voices will go under.
We are experiencing the videogame industry’s equivalent of the 1960’s collapse of the Hollywood studio system (and it’s only just begun). It’s time for a whole new approach. Us indies are far better equipped to lead the future of games.
