my vibe is that the games take way too long and we should stop giving teams free timeouts

football: you do not need 'stoppage time' based off of the official's questionable reckons/discretion about how much time is needed to make up for the stoppage. have a timer that counts down to zero, and pause it when play isn't happening, like a grown-up

football: abolish the two minute warning, and abolish 'out of bounds stops clock' for the entire duration of the game. there's enough stoppages with injuries, tv timeouts, and team timeouts already. make time pressure at the end of the game actually mean something
