Just started Outlaw Planet and I’m about an hour in but I’m already hooked. Interesting he seems to throw in a dark tower reference. I know King didn’t invent the concept of The Dark Tower but a black Tower on the Western Sea just seems too spot on. Plus I’m getting Tull vibes.

I was upset Overgrowth wasn’t nominated in either Scifi or horror. And yeah, King Sorrow is horror but people don’t know how to genre anymore.

Can’t tell you how many times I saw a cool crotchet item and was like, wow that’s cool and my wife says, “I’ll just make it for you.”

Chuck likes to write about things we can’t afford anymore like Staircases, haunted homes and apples. Eventually we will just be left roaming the country trying to touch people to find out how they die.

Hey, we had candy cigarettes and gum made to look like chewing tobacco. It was the best of times…

I read a bunch of scifi but most of it was a few years old. The fact that Mira Grant’s Overgrowth isn’t on the list is a sin.

So, I respect Veterans. I respect their service and sacrifice, especially those left with little options in life.

But I respect good parents more. My father was not a good parent but everyday I try to be a good stepfather and my brothers and sisters are good parents. Maybe that’s his legacy.

When my father got really sick, my aunt called me to tell me he was in the hospital. I visited him. He tried to apologize for everything but his wife stopped him and told he he didn’t owe anyone an apology. Then he went on to bash my mother for twenty minutes. I left broken.

I remember the one time my dad called me on my birthday. It was to tell me he was marrying Kathy in a week. He totally forgot it was my birthday.

My siblings and I learned it was his wife who sent the message shaming us about not reaching out and respecting his service. When he died she refused to have a viewing involving his children, just a private one for her and her kids and a military funeral. I was the only one to attend the funeral.

When you hit 52, it may be “these politicians are evil and their incompetence is just a cover.”

Right now, I’m waiting for Clara to finish her rehearsal for the holiday parade and reading a story from the book, which involved the song Ballroom Blitz by Nuclear Assault so, of course, I had to play it while I read.

People need to stop thinking of the Democrats as the opposition party fighting for the people. They are the establishment party fighting to keep the system that rewards them.

Between the MAGA ICE loving sheriff being ousted and Democrats taking over school boards spots that Moms for Liberty occupied it was a good day in Bucks County. Too many people underestimate the importance of local elections.

There needs to just be a safe spot for Doctor Who updates without including the hot takes of 50 year old butt hurt fans.
