this 1000x. There are plenty of good uses of AI and machine learning, but generative AI that burns down a tree so you can generate a hand with 6 fingers is not it
Intermittent reminder that 'AI' is a broad name for a huge range of technologies, some of which are really useful and have no negative effects, some of which are pretty useless and/or based on plagiarism. The existence of one doesn't negate the existence of the other.

It might take a couple years for the news to get to the old geezers in Congress, but I wonder what they think about TikTok users fearing the ban going to even more Chinese centric apps like Redbook that might actually be spying on them lol
