There were rumors of an ICE raid in Santa Ana today. My school’s absences went from 100-150 for a normal day to 500+. Fully 1/3 of my kids are in hiding today. To make so many children feel so much fear is reprehensible beyond words.

Yesterday I overheard a boy teasing a girl in my class. “Your grades are good except for dance that’s an easy class!” To which I interrupted, “ get up, dance right now! Come on dance is easy. Shake it!” We all had a good laugh and I got to defend the performing arts.

Ethiopian food is actually pretty good as leftovers. I swear the injeera gets tangier or something.

I was rough housing with my in-laws tiny puppy Honey. I thought I escaped without any marks but my dry skin is now splitting where his little puppy needle teeth ravaged my hands.
