Friendly neighborhood cryptid haunting the skyline. Just an eldritch horror doing my level best to be helpful. Pronouns: Ominous they/them.
I’m led to believe this Floridian lake is the most circular lake. It’s great, but it also feels like we could do better.

I’m frustrated that cities don’t have assigned color palettes, à la the original Pokémon games.
San Francisco has to be either gold or International Orange like the Golden Gate Bridge, but what one specific hue is Los Angeles? Chicago? New York City?

(3) Florins were only in use from the 13th to 16th centuries, guilders from the 17th to the 21st...does this suggest that the world of the Princess Bride is timey-wimey, or that Guilder is a newly ascendant regional power while Florin is diminishing, or that author William Goldman answers to no man?

(2) What is with the geography of their world that the west coast of Italy is across a channel from the Netherlands? And how do the Low Countries have Cliffs of Insanity? How does one reclaim a cliff from the sea?

Some things have been weighing heavily on me for a very long time…
(1) In the world of #ThePrincessBride, are ALL the countries named after defunct currencies? Are there countries named Lira, Mark, Drachma, Franc, Peseta...?

My October horror movie marathon haul was pretty good this year. Still so much classic horror I haven’t seen.

It is my head!canon that Gaspar Noé’s Climax (2018) is set between the two universes of Suspiria (1977) and Suspiria (2018).
Gawd, I love this splendid nightmare.

My favorite horror movie, The Mothman Prophecies (2002), is also secretly a Hallmark movie.
It's about a bumbling angel trying to help a widower from the big city move on and find new love in a small town in rural West Virginia.
It takes place on Christmas Eve, for cry-yie.

Tall enough to be used to being the tallest im a room, but not surprised to not be, and it’s always a novelty to have to look *up* at a cutie for once.

I’m enjoying #Talamasca so far, but confused why they even bothered with setting the first episode in NYC (but filmed in the UK?) and why they have American characters at all when they’re mostly played by British actors (except for one who I’ll avoid naming in case it ends up being a plot point).

Sometimes I need to remind the world that there exists a gay romantic comedy musical where all the lyrics are from Shakespeare.

I honestly think that our society would have a better relationship to sexual health if positive STI results were delivered via a giant microbe plushies.
“You got the clap, but you also got this cutie!”
I refuse to entertain the notion that this would incentivize unsafe sex.

Pokémon GO re-leveling day was fun! Made the jump to level 70 automatically, discarded 1000+ reward items overloading my storage, and now I’m chipping away at the next set of level requirements.
This game is perfectly shaped for my particular flavor of ADHD.

Mother from Raised by Wolves is my favorite Ridley Scott android by a mile, beating out so many other great milk-blooded androids and replicants. Amanda Collin deserves more love.

Dead End: Paranormal Park was an absolute treasure, by the way.
It's about a haunted Dollywood where the Dolly Parton is voiced by Miss Coco Peru.

Most of the peoples of Hyrule seem incredibly adaptable to ecological change, evolving rapidly, but Gorons never change from Skyward Sword all the way to Wind Waker.
They're the giant pandas of the Zelda series, always teetering on extinction.

Now, it looks nice, and the spookiness is inside the people who live there.
